Set on two levels, the ground-floor bar with its African themed motif, offers a diverse selection of cocktails, with drinks such as the Jungle Bear (Absolut Raspberry, Archers peach schnapps, lemon juice and lemonade) and The Meat Co. Martini (Kalinska vodka, apple and lemon juice, sugar syrup, mint leaves and cucumber), certain to help get you in the spirit of things before you head upstairs for dinner.
So, what's the food like? It's in the name, really.
The meat truly is exceptional. When you spend nearly £50 on a steak, you expect it to be a damn fine steak, and a damn fine steak it was. The fillet of English beef (leaner than the American beef, which is fattier and more flavoursome), was juicy and cooked to perfection - everything you could wish a steak to be.

Price for 2: Expect to spend upwards of £150, for a starter, main, sides and a dessert.
