Miln | The afternoon tea consisted of a selection of British delights including Stilton cheese straws; chicken liver parfait with spiced fig chutney; and rare roast beef, horseradish, watercress and crispy shallots. And of course, no afternoon tea is complete without tea and Champagne. We had a chilled glass (or two) of Tattinger Brut Reserve and a fresh mint tea, both of which you can never go wrong with! Our favourite bit of the afternoon tea hands down (not counting the Champagne), was the dessert, which featured a strawberry and pistachio tart served along with macaroons and a traditionally English Eton mess. So, if you find yourself in the West End feeling more frazzled than fabulous, you now know where you can find a respite from it all... Royal Afternoon Tea, priced at £25 per person or £38 with a glass of Tattinger Brut Reserve, is available from now until 30 October 2016. |
