Parisian-style bistro Blanchette is introducing two new menus for weekday lunch and weekend brunch. The menus, created by head chef, Tam Storrar, see the restaurant expand its offering of creative French small plates, charcuterie and cheeses, and all-French wine list.
A new 'speedy bite' lunch menu...
The new lunch menu, designed with busy workers, residents and shoppers in mind, offers main course-sized dishes perfect for those in search of an exquisite but speedy bite. There will be a range of daily-changing specials, all at under £10, and dishes might include Steak frites; Duck, poached egg, and fine bean salad; andMiddle White pork and Toulouse sausage cassoulet.
Since opening just over a year ago, Blanchette has received considerable critical acclaim for its buzzing and warm ambience and innovative and consistent cooking. Under the ownership of three brothers: Maxime, Yannis and Malik Alary, it continues to draw diners both local and from across London and beyond.
The dining room, seating 50-60, is eclectic yet elegant, with mismatched furniture and artwork. Plants, wine bottles, hams, terrines, cheeses and desserts are displayed along the back of the bar, forming a strong visual focus point.
A private dining space, The Jungle Room, has recently been added to accommodate parties of up to 14 guests and is decorated with feature chandeliers and a colourful Jungle themed mural by artist Aldo Gigli. Music also plays a big part at Blanchette, with Malik, founder of sound design company La Musique du Faubourg, providing the soundtrack to ensure a distinctive experience.
