Inspired by the street food scene across Asia, The City Kitchen is launching two Steamed Buns and two Street Eat Pots to add to their eclectic range of fresh chilled meals. The new dishes are full of bold authentic flavours and capture the heart of each dish’s origin.
Found in the night food markets of Taiwan, the steamed bun (or Gua Bao) is the local answer to the hamburger. Each soft, steamed bun is filled with succulent pulled pork or tender shredded chicken in a punch-packing sauce.
Two additional Street Eat Pots have also been added to the lunchtime menu increasing the ‘big on taste but low on fuss’ pots to four. Vietnamese Chilli Pork Fried Rice captures the modern cuisine of Vietnam, a perfect blend of sweet and savoury combining with the subtle chilli heat.
The cooks have also created Indonesian Pulled Pork & Mushroom Noodles, harnessing the diverse influences that Indonesia has embraced over centuries and now call their own. Great umami rich flavours prove that you don’t have to travel to Asia to experience unique ‘street cart’ cuisine.
The City Kitchen range is made by a passionate team of cooks, inspired by travel and committed to bringing the latest exciting food trends to your table.
