A luxurious Victorian town house in a gorgeous leafy suburb
Throughout the property, the décor is an exercise in tasteful refinement. The calming, neutral colour palette helps guests to instantly relax. Those who love period features will adore the high ceilings, the grand staircase and the restful lounge, which beckons guests to linger.
This standout room is incredibly bright and spacious. Features include a super king size bed, a free-standing iron bath, a monsoon shower room with complimentary Temple Spa products, a corner sofa, a large bureau, a widescreen TV with Sky, digital radio and CD stereo with iPhone dock, a mini bar and a complementary butler tray. Where the magic really happens, however, is the stunning private terrace, which guests access through the French doors.
Dining at Eleven Didsbury Park Rather than providing a formal dining room, Eleven Didsbury Park offers varying places to enjoy meals or drinks to suit your mood. Whether you fancy a bite in the gentlemen’s style lounge, the conservatory, the Victorian walled garden, the breakfast cafe or in the comfort of your room. Because I was working late, I opted for room service and tucked into a selection of mini plates including the Cod Cheek Tempura with Saffron Aioli; the Ham Hock Mini Cake with Red Onion Marmalade; and the Beef and Pork Meatballs with Romesco Sauce. The cod was fresh and light, the meatballs were comforting and the ham hock mini cakes were delicious and reminded me of Spanish croquettes. At only £12 for 3 dishes, all of which I enjoyed, I couldn’t fault it. Dessert was a decadent sticky toffee pudding with brown bread ice cream, which was so divine it left me speechless. I’d visit again just to enjoy this dessert! Breakfast at Eleven Didsbury Park For breakfast the following morning, I headed to the quaint and tranquil Victorian walled garden where every plant and flower seemed to have been expertly designed to reflect yonder times. The Eggs Benedict, which I enjoyed alongside fresh tea, brown toast and a selection of potted jams and marmalades, was marvellous and even more delightful in such peaceful surroundings. |
This high-quality accommodation presents no end of surprises that make you smile continuously, ensuring that it stands head and shoulders above other hotels. Bravo!
