Bold, beautiful colour for seriously striking lips

Given my love for tea and red wine (a girl's gotta have some vices), I'm always on the hunt for effective whitening toothpastes that can help to remove surface stains, which can make your teeth look yellow, which, let's be honest, is never a good look! Janina Ultra White Sensitive Whitening Toothpaste is a zesty, ultra-whitening toothpaste, that's comprised of a low-abrasive formulation, making it ideal for those who have sensitive teeth. The 'secret ingredient' in this whitening toothpaste is Bromaine Complex, a combination of pineapple and papaya enzymes that safely whiten teeth - without the use of harsh abrasives. This means less sensitivity to cold, heat and acids. I'm a convert. It's 'sayanora' to my old toothpaste! Janina Ultra White Sensitive Whitening Toothpaste is available in Boots stores nationwide, Amazon and www.beautyandthebunch.com (RRP’s £11.25-£19.95). www.janina.com A.A. Miln We recently tried the Natura Bisse Essential Shock Intense Hand Cream, a deeply nourishing unisex hand cream from Spanish luxury skincare brand Natura Bisse, which boasts a bevy of hard-working ingredients to give you silky smooth hands in no time. So, what's in it you ask? Here's a low-down on the ingredients... UreaHydrofix (5%): Urea is one of the components in the skin’s Natural Moisturizing Factor (NMF). With its significant ability to retain water, it is also a natural exfoliant that stimulates the skin’s cellular renewal process, thereby helping other active ingredients better penetrate the skin. Niacinamide: A vitamin in the B group, it is an effective cosmetic ingredient that offers multiple antiaging benefits. It improves the skin’s barrier and prevents dehydration. It also increases the production of collagen and new fibroblasts (skin cells) while helping reduce dark spots and evening out skin tone. Aminoessence Cocktail: A very rich cocktail of amino acids, a true shock treatment that redensifies and firms the skin. It includes pure amino acids (essential and non-essential), collagen amino acids and elastin amino acids. It is an extraordinary combination that improves elasticity and helps maintain an optimum level of hydration. Vitamins A, C & E: A powerful combination that provides significant antioxidant action; it prevents the formation of free radicals, protecting skin against damage from the sun’s rays. Vitamin A helps improve the skin’s cellular regeneration process and has been shown to reduce wrinkles when applied topically. Vitamin C improves the appearance of photoaged skin, stimulating the synthesis of collagen and elastin fibers. Milk thistle: Very rich in vegetable polyphenols and flavonoids, it provides great antioxidant action, helps fight free radicals and the effects of cellular oxidation. · Wheat germ: Highly nourishing wheat germ moisturizes your skin and prevents transepidermal water loss. Pineapple extract: Its high vitamin C content provides it with exceptional antioxidant properties. It stimulates cellular regeneration and the production of collagen and elastin, has significant moisturizing power and leaves your skin with a satiny finish. Our verdict: We loved that it provided us with supple skin in no time at all - without the sticky residue that you often get with ultra-emollient hand creams. Definitely one to keep in your handbag for whenever you need a fast-acting, replenishing hand moisturiser. Available from the most exclusive stores, spas and beauty centres for £40.00 (75ml). www.naturabisse.com A.A. Miln It’s not often one takes some time out a hectic day to enjoy a bit of 'me' time, which is why we're always on the hunt for products that deliver a bit of R&R quickly and easily. We recently tried Olverum bath oil, a luxurious aromatic blend of essential oils that helps to ease stresses and strains to help elevate your mind and body. Containing 10 pure essential oils, which are carefully blended to work synergistically, it's an effective way to naturally relieve stress and help you to achieve a great nights' sleep. It's also great for helping to ease aching or sore muscles. We loved the fabulous eucalyptus scent, which helped turn a boring bath into an uplifting spa-like experience. For the ultimate, cheeky indulgence, we recommend enjoying it with a glass of red and a great book! Available from www.houseoffraser.co.uk (£26.00 for 125ml - up to 25 baths or £48 for 250ml - up to 50 baths). A.A. Miln Introducing the Nu Skin ageLOC® Tru Face® Essence Ultra (RRP £191.05.). Formulated with Ethocyn,® Nu Skin’s firming specialist, these power packed capsules contain anti-aging science to target the sources of ageing that lead to the loss of firmness - perfect for those seeking increased skin definition.
So, what are the primary benefits?
Usage AgeLOC Tru Face Essence Ultra should be applied twice daily for three months as a final step in your beauty routine (post moisturizing) to achieve optimal results. The capsules are incredibly easy to use, simply tear open and squeeze two or three drops directly onto the areas of most concern and then apply a thin coat of the remaining product to the entire face. The results? Soft, smooth skin that looked more refreshed. My husband even used this and his fine lines looked less prominent, which is a great result! http://www.nuskin.com A.A. Miln It's gonna be a 'bryt' sunshiny day with skin this good...When I first came across the Bryt Skincare range, I loved the bright and cheerful packaging, which really stands out. I also love that the range combines the ancient powers of essential oils with advanced photoscience, which involves extracting the purest plant ingredients to cleanse, nourish and protect your skin. The Advanced Phytoscience System (APS), is at the core of the entire Bryt Skincare range. This highly effective formulation includes antioxidant extract from Australian Wild Plums (sounds exotic), including Kakadu, Burdekin and Illawarra. Combined, these products help to detoxify the skin and help with problem skin and blemishes. Aloe vera helps to calm skin, while Allantoin, heals, soothes and moisturises. All of the products within the range are free from parabens, sulphates, silicons and GM ingredients. Sounds good, but does it deliver? I reviewed two products within the range - the Foaming Facial Cleanser and the Calm Serum (for combination to oily skin) - both of which were fab. Bryt Skincare Foaming Facial Cleanser (£12.50 for 150ml) The foaming facial cleanser has a light and airy feel and a lovely eucalyptus scent. Apply a walnut sized amount and massage into skin. After, use the muslin Bryt Mitt to rinse and scrub. The mitt helps your skin feel like it's getting a really thorough scrub, which is great for congested skin. And it's quick and easy, to encourage daily exfoliation. After using, my skin had a really nice flush like I'd just returned from the gym. Bryt Skincare Calm Serum (for combination to oily skin) (£16.00 for 30ml)
Containing the Advanced Phytoscience System (APS), this serum helps to maintain skin's natural equilibrium, making it perfect for those with oily, problem skin. Key ingredients include a botanical blend of Watercress, Nettle and Horseradish, which help to regulate sebum levels in the skin. Kalahari Oil, Linoleic Acid and Omega 6, help to regenerate skin cells and rejuvenate the skin. To use, simply apply 1-2 pumps on your skin by dabbing onto the face and neck and follow with a moisturiser. I found this serum very easy to apply and a few hours after use, my skin remained smooth and shine free. Overall, it's a great product for those with sensitive, problem skin. A.A. Miln As someone who has suffered with incredibly sensitive skin for most of my life, I'm pretty picky when it comes to moisturisers, in fear that switching from my trusted favourites will lead to skin irritation.
Well, my fears were unfounded with this fab Face Balm from Yours Truly Organics. Unique key ingredients such as Daisy Flower (how lovely is that?), combined with Pea Extract (didn't even know that was a thing), make this balm highly moisturising, without being heavy. The Pea Extract works to improve skin's sebum production, while the Daisy Flower extract helps to brighten your complexion. What's more it's cruelty free, organic certified and Vegetarian Society approved. The balm comes in an attractive glass bottle, making it a stylish addition to your beauty cabinet. Pump application makes this a cinch to use, helping to ensure that you get just the right amount of product required, without any wastage. Upon application, the balm has a slight tackiness, but this soon subsides, leaving behind soft, smooth skin. Hand on heart, this is one of the few products that I've actually converted to. Well done Yours Truly Organics. I'm a new fan. Yours Truly Organics Face Balm is available from www.yourstrulyorganics.com (£25.00 for 100ml). A.A.
