The Laslett Notting Hill, London - OPENING SUMMER 2015
The Laslett Notting Hill will host 51 well-appointed bedrooms and suites, spread across five listed Victorian townhouses on Pembridge Gardens, London.
The hotel is named after well-loved community activist, Rhaune Laslett, who organised the first Notting Hill Festival. Inspired by the vibrant local scene, the look and feel of The Laslett will evoke the sense of walking into a friend’s stylish home. The interior design is the work of architects and designers from Waldo Works, who are widely known for their contemporary British flair. Pieces from British designers such as Simon Day, Pinch and Earnest Race complement this design, whilst art and photography from celebrated local names adorn the walls.
The public space downstairs is part coffee shop, part bar-kitchen, part gallery and part concept store, with regular art exhibitions and a locally sourced food and drink selection that will evolve throughout the day. Offering in-room spa treatments and pop-up dining opportunities, The Laslett promises to be a firm favourite for visitors and locals alike in the heart of Notting Hill.

Lijiang's Patio, Lijiang, China
Lijiang is one of China’s hidden gems – combined with beautiful natural sceneries such as Lugu Lake, Tiger Leaping Gorge and Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and the ancient UNESCO town – Dayan Town – it’s the perfect escape from everyday life.
Lijiang’s Patio offers 22 private residences in the centre of the city. Guests arrive and take part in the hotel’s traditional tea ceremony before being shown to their private villa.
When guests leave the hotel, they will find themselves transported back in time with historic bridges and cobbled streets running alongside beautiful canals and all against the back drop of the epic Jade Dragon Snow mountain, which can been seen from both the town and privately from the individual villas.
Guests can also enjoy the Qin Cambodian Spa after a long day of exploring. In the evenings, wine tasting events are often held at the Wyatt Wine Cellar, while for those who partake, the hotel offers guests the only Cigar Bar in town with some of the world’s finest luxury cigars.
Small Luxury Hotels of the World offers rooms at Lijiang’s Patio from £124 per night including breakfast and based on two people sharing a one bedroom villa.
Hotel Regency, Florence, Italy
The Hotel Regency is SLH’s third hotel in Florence. It has been in operation since the 1800s when it served as a home to an illustrious list of the city’s elite. Its reputation among the Italians is long-standing and well-known and those who stay are always glad they did. The hotel’s 32 rooms are all different, combining old world elegance with a contemporary appeal. Guests looking for ultra-seclusion can stay in the Garden Junior Suite where they will enjoy a private entrance.
The Hotel Regency is proud of its central location, where guests need only take a short stroll to find renowned art, ornate churches and the famous markets of Florence. Back at the hotel the kitchens are bustling as the chefs prepare traditional Italian fare using locally sourced produce from the very same markets. The restaurant Relais Le Jardin serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and also has a private dining room for those more momentous occasions.
Small Luxury Hotels of the World offers rooms at Hotel Regency from £156 per night including breakfast and based on two people sharing a classic double room.
