Immerse yourself in your environment with these quality surround sound headphones
|
Given that I spend the majority of my time writing (both at work and at home), I was keen to find a pair of headphones that had great sound quality and were comfortable to wear. I often find that using fiddly, poor quality, in-ear headphones leaves my ears feeling irritated after only an hour of use, so it was imperative that I found a better solution.
I was recently introduced to the Speedlink Medusa 5.1 True Surround Headset. Although these surround sound headphones are designed for gamers, and I've not played a video game since my Super Nintendo obesession in the early 90s, they deliver great sound quality regardless of what you're listening to. A sound control pad allows you to direct the sound to either the front, centre, rear or subwoofer, giving you great audio control at the touch of a button. The bass is really impressive and sounds great when I'm listening to hip hop or any other musical genre where bass is at the forefront. The headphones also come equipped with a microphone, which I haven't used, but I can see that it would be beneficial for gamers. The only downside to the headphones is that they are a bit on the heavy side, which becomes evident after wearing them for longer periods, but the sound quality makes up for this, making it a great value headset for anyone looking for quality headphones at a great price. The Speedlink Medusa 5.1 True Surround Headset is available from Amazon.co.uk for £41.99. www.speedlink.com A.A. Miln |
