Sail the Bay of Islands in style...

If you're in the Bay of Islands, NZ, and are looking for a seafaring adventure, then a voyage on theR.Tucker Thompson tall ship is a must for any sailing enthusiast.

Regardless of age or ability, tourists can learn the ropes with guidance from the R. Tucker Thompson staff. Tourist sailings run from November until Easter (during the New Zealand summer), providing the chance for visitors to experience a working tall ship first-hand.

If you don't fancy getting involved, simply kick back, relax and enjoy the ride! All proceeds from the journey go towards maintaining the ship and providing funding for their youth development sailing programme (for young adults aged 13-18) and are suited for those who are undergoing the Duke of Edinburgh’s Hillary Award or the St John Cadet Ventureship Gold Badge award. Students will learn an array of skills including general seamanship, safety at sea and navigation.
