Restaurateur, David Moore says, “We’re in an exciting position to bring together some of the UK’s freshest produce with our combined knowledge of running a Michelin-star restaurant to create an exciting new foodie experience for even more Londoners.
Head chef at Pied à Terre and now Cook Love, Asimakis Chaniotis, says the new concept is more than just a street food stall. “The words, Cook and Love are tattooed on my fingers so...you could say that launching this concept is more than just another day in the kitchen for me! Bringing friends and families together over seasonal flavours really is one of my life’s passions - that’s what Cook Love is all about.”
Uniquely, components of dishes will be cooked in an oil drum BBQ to create a smooth and smoky flavour including the spring-inspired scallops, available to customers on launch. Currently, the shellfish are a crowd favourite at Pied à Terre which David and Asimakis anticipate to be a continued hit with Cook Love customers.
Dishes from Cook Love are inspired by fresh produce and so the menu is set to evolve through the changing seasons, reflecting the produce that becomes available from local suppliers. Cook Love are launching with the following dishes:
- Scallops: Wood fired scallops with homemade seaweed butter (£7)
- Pork in brioche: Oxford sandy and black pulled leg of pork with ponzu chilli and pickles (£6)
- Cacio e Pepe: Spaghetti pasta, pecorino cheese and cracked black pepper (£4)
